Our Quilts
A patchwork quilt is made of three layers –
-A decorative top of small pieces of fabric sewn together to create a pattern.
-A middle layer to add warmth.
-A backing fabric. The three layers are stitched together by machine or hand. Traditionally made for warmth and comfort.
Today patchwork quilts have also become works of art to hung on walls as decorative pieces.
All the quilts we make will be unique. We may use the same fabric with another pattern or the same pattern with different fabric but our promise is we will never make two quilts the same.
Children's Quilts
Baby Quilts – it is advised that babies under a year old do not sleep under a quilt or duvet, or have a pillow in the cot. However a quilt has many uses:
Pram sized quilts can be used in a pram or car seat and be used to put a young baby on the floor for some tummy time or on other surfaces. These quilts are fully washable at 60 degrees.
Cot sized quilts will fit an older child’s cot or cot bed and can also be used as playmats or wallhangings and are also fully washable.
Delivery
Currently delivery of all products to UK addresses is free. For international shipping please drop us a note by email or through the Contact Us page to discuss.
Most items will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class. For larger orders Parcelforce will be used.
Please allow 1 – 2 weeks for delivery of your order.
Gift Packaging
The following options are available at no extra cost.
- gifts can be wrapped in tissue and sent directly to the recipient.
- A handmade gift card with your message can be included.
- If your gift is a quilt a dedication panel with your message can be sewn onto the reverse of the quilt.
Returns
It is important to us that you are happy with your purchase. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase we will be happy to refund your money provided the item is returned to us in its original condition within 14 days. The cost of returning the goods will rest with the customer.
